Frans Claerhout

1919 – 4th July 2006
Trained as a Cathollic priest and worked as a missionary in Thaba ‘Nchu on the Lesotho border, and doing art as a past time. He build and decorated a church for his black congregation,’Thaba Ya Kreste’ (‘the joy of Christ’).
He had numerous sucsessful exhibitions during his life and numerous works in public and private collections.
